{"id":4093,"date":"2022-08-10T11:03:20","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T11:03:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scottishspca.org\/news-appeal-for-homes-for-small-and-exotic-animals-in-angus\/"},"modified":"2025-01-07T14:29:10","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T14:29:10","slug":"appeal-for-homes-for-small-and-exotic-animals-in-angus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottishspca.org\/news\/appeal-for-homes-for-small-and-exotic-animals-in-angus\/","title":{"rendered":"Appeal for homes for small and exotic animals in Angus"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"paragraph-4051\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--type--content-with-summary paragraph--view-mode--default\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-field-content-with-summary field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">We are appealing to the public to find homes for the overlooked small and exotic animals in the care of our&nbsp;Angus, Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre. <\/p>\n<p>We have been caring for the animals for a combined total of over 700 days but unfortunately they have been overlooked.<\/p>\n<p>Centre assistant manager, Dale Christie, said, \u201cWe are currently trying to find forever homes for 11 ferrets, six rabbits, two budgies, a cockatiel, a tortoise, a rat and two royal pythons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe would love to find homes for all of our small and exotic animals but especially our ferrets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo far this year we have had more ferrets come in to our care across the Society than is usual.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur longest resident is Hamish, a cheeky ferret who has been with us for over 217 days! <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe loves to investigate and explore. Hamish would love a large, secure enclosure with plenty of space, toys, and enrichment to keep himself entertained.
