{"id":3900,"date":"2023-06-08T12:09:33","date_gmt":"2023-06-08T12:09:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scottishspca.org\/news-appeal-for-information-after-guinea-pig-found-abandoned-in-stirling\/"},"modified":"2025-01-15T11:08:07","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T11:08:07","slug":"appeal-for-information-after-guinea-pig-found-abandoned-in-stirling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottishspca.org\/news\/appeal-for-information-after-guinea-pig-found-abandoned-in-stirling\/","title":{"rendered":"Appeal for information after Guinea pig found abandoned in Stirling"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"paragraph-4672\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--type--content-with-summary paragraph--view-mode--default\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-field-content-with-summary field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<h2 class=\"h4\">We are appealing for information after a Guinea pig was found on Saturday 3 June at Polmaise Crescent, Fallin in Stirling.<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>The white, black and brown male Guinea pig was found in the garden of a property.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Scottish SPCA animal rescue officer, Kelly McGuire, said: \u201cWe received a call to our animal helpline about an injured Guinea pig wandering in a garden.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe went out to investigate and found the male Guinea pig, who had an injury to his eye. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe took him to our veterinary clinic to be assessed and he is now safe in the care of one of our animal rescue and rehoming centres.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know times are tough for a lot of people at the moment but this is not the way to give up a pet if you can no longer care for them. This would have been a very distressing experience for the animal and he was lucky to have been found when he was.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\">\u201cIf anyone recognises this Guinea pig, they should call our confidential helpline on 03000 999 999.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNoSpacing\">\n<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are appealing for information after a Guinea pig was found on Saturday 3 June at Polmaise Crescent, Fallin in Stirling.
