Ron and Sue volunteer two days a week helping to look after the rabbits and walk dogs at the centre as well as fostering numerous bunnies.

Speaking of their challenge Sue and Ron said: “Any of you that know us will know how much we enjoy the great outdoors and especially climbing the mountains both home and abroad.

“Although we have summited many of the munros of Scotland over 700 times, we have still to summit 12 of the 282 munros. This is largely due to the remote location of some summits and the exposure and technical difficulties of others.

“We have taken the decision to attempt to complete them this year, including hiring a guide to take us up those requiring ropes on the Cuillin Ridge in Skye.

“To encourage us to attempt the scariest of these, including the Inaccessible Pinnacle on Skye, we hope to raise a few pounds for the Scottish SPCA. We are in awe of the amazing dedication that the staff show in their care for the animals in need in Scotland.

“If you can spare a few pounds it would be such great encouragement for us to attempt the more exposed and scary climbs and, of course, will help the Scottish SPCA to carry on with their valuable work caring for all those animals who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances.”
