{"id":3719,"date":"2023-11-16T11:15:46","date_gmt":"2023-11-16T11:15:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scottishspca.org\/news-appeal-for-christmas-dinners-for-animals-in-our-care\/"},"modified":"2025-01-15T11:06:38","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T11:06:38","slug":"appeal-for-christmas-dinners-for-animals-in-our-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottishspca.org\/news\/appeal-for-christmas-dinners-for-animals-in-our-care\/","title":{"rendered":"Appeal for \u2018Christmas dinners\u2019 for animals in our care"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"paragraph-5161\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--type--content-with-summary paragraph--view-mode--default\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-field-content-with-summary field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">We are appealing to generous animal lovers across Scotland to donate food and other items to centres to ensure the animals in our car have a happy Christmas. <\/p>\n<p>Among the items the centres need are dog and cat food to keep animals fed and happy this festive season while they wait for a forever home.<\/p>\n<p>Head of rehabilitation operations, Jennie Macdonald, said, \u201cOur centres are busier than ever this Christmas with many operating close to, or at, capacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs many of the animals in our care have sensitive tummies, we try to keep their diet consistent so each centre is looking for specific brands of food.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can see what your local centre is most in need of by checking their Amazon wishlist and either ordering through Amazon or ordering the same product through another retailer offering delivery or in person at a store.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you are donating items in person please pop along to centre reception between 11am and 3pm and let the centre know the donations are for the Christmas appeal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know times are tough for everyone but we\u2019d be so grateful for anything anyone can spare this Christmas and know our animals will be too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Amazon wishlists for all centres can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottishspca.org\/amazon-wishlist\">here<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are appealing to generous animal lovers across Scotland to donate food and other items to centres to ensure the animals in our car have a happy Christmas.
