{"id":3625,"date":"2024-08-06T15:41:47","date_gmt":"2024-08-06T15:41:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scottishspca.org\/news-dog-abandoned-after-being-kicked-in-the-head\/"},"modified":"2025-01-15T11:05:52","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T11:05:52","slug":"dog-abandoned-after-being-kicked-in-the-head","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottishspca.org\/news\/dog-abandoned-after-being-kicked-in-the-head\/","title":{"rendered":"Dog abandoned after being kicked in the head"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"paragraph-5882\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--type--content-with-summary paragraph--view-mode--default\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-field-content-with-summary field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">We are&nbsp;appealing for information after a dog was dumped in a street near the train station in Dalmeny on Saturday 3 August.<\/p>\n<p>A member of the public called our animal helpline after witnessing a man kicking a dog in the head and neck before driving away without him.<\/p>\n<p>Inspector Jennifer Surgeon, said: \u201cWe were called out to a male bull breed type dog who had been dumped in a street after a male was seen kicking him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is very nervous and underweight but didn\u2019t appear to have any other obvious physical injuries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe dog was left unattended in the area but thankfully the caller was able to contain him and take him to a place of safety.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe male drove away in a white car however was wearing a motorbike helmet to shield his face so we have been unable to identify him so far.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe dog is microchipped but has not been registered. He is now in our care at one of our animal rescue and rehoming centres.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf anyone recognises this dog or has any information surrounding his circumstances, they should call our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are&nbsp;appealing for information after a dog was dumped in a street near the train station in Dalmeny on Saturday 3 August.
